U.S. Politics - an international joke! Liberal and conservatives, bipartison agreement, a two-party system, and most important, freedom of choice. What has happened to the existence of all these terms? Who can give a definitive description of U.S. politics? The times, they are a changing and we are caught in the shredder.
There was a time when we were at the forefront of all the superpowers and could never fall. Now we are unsure of our own direction. U.S. politics have turned toward a direction that is not beneficial for the American citizen. Adrian Hamilton, a political writer states"Two-party politics is doing us no good." Earl Killiann says, "Politics is best described as a one-party system of republicrats with two factions, rather than a two-party system."
We have seen promises made and broken, stimulus packages that has tripled our national debt, Social Security given to people who have never paid into the program; just where will the list ever end? Now it seems to be a government for the government and not government for the people. Even health care is proposing to take away our own choices for necessary treatment. Aren't we the country that accused Russia of having nothing but propaganda? That is somewhere in the area of "the pot calling the kettle black." We the people and our government are facing some desperate times ahead and we must find a way to do an about face for better results.
As voters, we should have a say in our own destiny. Our positivity must come back, and hopefully the government will show some fairness and equality in the systems!
