There are many people who have faced great challenges in today's economic times, including layoffs, home foreclosures, company cutbacks and bankruptcies, unexpected illnesses and other unforeseen factors that they have been dealt.
Many people have had to resort to making changes in their lifestyles, including losing their homes to foreclosure, filing bankruptcy or even moving in with relatives or friends just to be able to "survive" these tough economic times.
The economy has forced people to make other living arrangements, make sacrifices and give up homes or belongings in order to be able to live. Many elderly people have found it difficult to live on their present retirement and they’ve ended up trying to find employment to supplement their retirement funds. Some of them are faced with helping their children or grandchildren and this in turn is causing them to not have sufficient funds to live on.
Many people have been faced with trying to sell their homes in order to downsize and find other ways to get by. The economy has affected some of us more than others, with many people wondering when it will start to turn around. Many people have moved to other states to find lower costs of living.
The Midwest and the Southern states have the lowest cost of living, where New England, Alaska, the West Coast and Hawaii were the most expensive areas to live in. Many people are living with less than they normally would and are finding ways to cut back on their spending.
