Nancy Grace is a former prosecutor and CNN commentator who champions victims rights. She was born in October 1959 in Macon, Georgia. She is married to David Linch and has paternal twins, Lucy Elizabeth and John David who will be 2 years of age on November 4th.
Nancy and David had known each other for years and got married on the spur of the moment. Nancy’s fiancé was murdered in 1979 and she said she thought she would never marry. He was murdered by a man he had worked with. The assailant got out of prison in December 2006. The death of her fiancé formed Nancy’s life, by placing her in law school where she followed with a career as a prosecutor.
She hosted the Court TV show, “Closing Arguments” from 1996 until 2007, and has been hosting the “Nancy Grace Program” since 2005 and continues to, today. She fights for the victims of crimes and is said to be a tough interrogator. She asks tough questions and some blame her for the suicide of a mother whose child went missing in Florida in2006. Family members of Melinda Duckett claim that CNN, Nancy Grace and other media were responsible for her committing suicide. A civil case was filed against CNN and Nancy Grace in November 2006.
The Law and Order television shows have based shows on some of the cases Nancy has highlighted, and she has also been portrayed as a reporter who asks hard questions on other episodes of Law and Order SVU as well as their Criminal Intent series.
