When you decide to own a pet, it takes a commitment. It has been found that people that have pets tend to have less stress or the symptoms of the stress in their lives. You will make a friend that will look up to you for food, shelter and love. If you’re lucky and good to the animal, it will love you unconditionally. They are great for people that live alone as they give them support.
It has also been found that when you stroke or pet you animal, it causes your body to send off natural chemicals that will help you to relax. It has been found that many people that suffer from high blood pressure that those that have pets tend to need medication less.
It’s also a great excuse for going for a walk and getting some exercise. They are your companion but also your support to help prevent loneliness and to help stop you from being a couch potato. It’s also nice because you have someone to tell all your secrets to and get them off your chest and know that they won’t spread what you’ve said.
A lot of people enjoy their pets because they get tired of hearing others and themselves complain; your pet won’t do that as long as you supply its daily needs. They tend to become a part of your family and for some they are the only family a person has.
Some pets also become your protector. They can be trained to do many different “chores” for you. They can also lead you to new friends when you take your pet outside. So you get a protector, companion, member of the family and someone that will comfort you without question.
